EHU launches 2010 Solid Waste Programme

The Environmental Health Unit is placing emphasis on cleaning up the island with the launch of its 2010 Solid Waste Programme.

Principal Environmental Health Officer Ambrell Richardson said there are number of groups within the community who have assisted in collecting solid waste, however he said there now needs to be a holistic approach to getting rid of solid waste throughout the island.

Crack cocaine arrest alarms police officials

Head of the Drugs and Firearms Task Force Paul Sinclair says the recent arrest of a person found with crack cocaine is quite disturbing.

He said this is something to be taken quite seriously and if crack cocaine is being distributed on island it can pose a major problem.

RAPF reports six serious crimes for one week period

The Royal Anguilla Police Force is reporting eight serious crimes for the period June 16 to 23, 2010.

There were three burglaries in Sachasses, Cauls Bottom, and Rock Farm.
